If you have purchased and used a spray nozzle, it is important to maintain the spray nozzle properly. Various maintenance tips to ensure maximum service life and optimum performance of your spray nozzle are provided below.
Carefully read the instructions for use before use.
Store spray nozzles in their case
Make sure the hose connection is clean to ensure a good hose connection/seal
Place the spray nozzle carefully in the sewer
During cleaning in the sewer, never withdraw the spray nozzle without (water) pressure. Otherwise, dirt will get into the nozzle.
Disassemble the spray nozzle before cleaning the inserts. This prevents the dirt from entering the spray nozzle
Remove the inserts before cleaning. This is best when they are heated, because the inserts are glued
Carefully remove the blockage with a spray nozzle pricker
Glue the inserts back in with Loctite® 243 (or equivalent product)
Check the operation by observing the water jet. Note: do this without water pressure to avoid injuries.
Allow the glue sufficient time to dry before using the spray nozzle again (approx. 2 hours)
After use, spray the inserts of the spray nozzles (and chains of the chain scraper) with a preservative. In addition to WD40, you can also use (environmentally-friendly) biodegradable products for this.
